Cross-Cultural Counseling

Cross-Cultural Counseling focuses on understanding the influence of culture, identity, values, and social experiences on mental health and therapeutic relationships. This track explores culturally sensitive counseling approaches that address the psychological needs of individuals from diverse ethnic, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds. Sessions will discuss multicultural competence, culturally adapted therapies, migration-related stress, identity development, and inclusive counseling practices that enhance therapeutic effectiveness and trust.

The track also highlights challenges related to discrimination, acculturation, social inequality, and cultural stigma surrounding mental health. Experts will discuss ethical considerations, culturally informed assessment methods, and strategies for improving mental healthcare accessibility in multicultural societies. Research presentations will examine cross-cultural communication, global mental health perspectives, and innovative interventions that support diversity and inclusion in psychological practice. This track aims to strengthen culturally responsive mental healthcare and foster equity in counseling services.
