Psycho-Oncology

Psycho-Oncology focuses on the psychological, emotional, and social impact of cancer on patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. This track explores mental health challenges associated with cancer diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. Sessions will discuss emotional distress, anxiety, depression, coping strategies, supportive counseling, and psychosocial interventions that improve quality of life for individuals affected by cancer. Participants will gain insights into compassionate, patient-centred approaches to psychological cancer care.

The track also highlights interdisciplinary collaboration between psychologists, oncologists, nurses, and support professionals in delivering holistic cancer care. Experts will discuss caregiver stress, communication in oncology settings, palliative care psychology, resilience-building, and survivorship support programs. Research presentations will examine innovative psycho-oncology interventions, digital support services, and strategies for integrating mental health into oncology treatment plans. This track aims to strengthen emotional support systems and improve psychological wellbeing throughout the cancer care journey.
